Jean Claude Nshimyimana, a 16 year old boy from Rwanda who arrived in the U.S. about three months ago to receive surgeries to his face due to birth defects that have played a key role in his development as a kid, always wearing a hood to cover his face and never looking up. After the 3 surgeries, he is now a happy teen ready to face his hometown again.

As one of his last stops in the U.S., Jean Claude requested a visit to the USS Hornet Museum for a lesson in U.S. history, and tour of the museum, which he especially enjoyed learning about the planes.

When asked his favorite, he smiled and posed for a picture in from of the F-14 jet. He now shares his smile with everyone near him.
